Industeam accelerates its transition to green energy

The Luxembourg-based industrial integrator announces three acquisitions, including the French company Sécométal, located in the Hauts-de-Seine region. It is stepping up its shift toward hydraulics and biomass.

"2020 will go down as the best year of my professional career," says Thierry Franceschetti, founder and CEO of the Industeam group, based on the Luxembourg side of the border town of Bettembourg near the Moselle, without a hint of arrogance. Admittedly, the health crisis cost this industrial plant manufacturer 20 million euros in business, with the company set to generate around 50 million euros in revenue this year.

But at the same time, the 550-employee group has secured 30 million euros in new orders and acquired three companies from the Belgian Pirson group, including the French firm Sécométal. This growth, combined with a drastic cost-cutting plan, allows it to target nearly 100 million euros in revenue for 2021, a 25% increase compared to 2019.
